Our sumptuous estate is located in the village of Barro Lobo, approximately 7 minutes drive from the medieval town of Óbidos, and 10 minutes from the town of Bombarral. Lisbon Airport can be reached within 45 minutes.
Larger cities in the area are easily accessible by car, such as Caldas Da Rainha and Lisbon.
The seaside resorts of Peniche, Foz de Arelho and Baleal are a 20-minute drive away. The sea at Foz de Arelho flows into the Lagoa of Óbidos and the shallow water makes it suitable for children.
A little further (30 minutes) is the beautiful seaside town of Sao Martinho. This town is located on a beautiful bay, which makes it suitable for children. You can surf in Peniche, but also in other places.
Alcobaca is a place with the famous Santa Maria de Alcobacá Monastery which is open to visitors.
The Dino Parque in Lourinha is a must see with children. The park is fairly new and well regarded.
You can also drive the beautiful wine route, rent bicycles and do water sports in the area.
“The white city” is the romantic name given to Lisbon in many books. The capital of Portugal rises above the northern bank of the Tagus and stretches over seven hills. You will find picturesque, winding and narrow streets, but also wide shopping venues, squares and fountains.
Go to one of the many attractions the city has to offer; visit Castelo de São Jorge or the Alfama district, take a ride on tram line 28, or explore the lower or upper city with Elevador de Santa Justa!
